Mohanlal all set for ‘Sagar alias Jackie’


he shooting for the movie will start by December this year. Amal Neerad of 'Big B' fame will be directing the movie.

Amal Neerad has worked in Bollywood as a cinematographer for Ram Gopal Varma films like ‘James’, ‘Shiva’ and ‘Darna Zaroori Hai’ and made his entry into Malayalam, cranking the camera for Ranjith’s ‘Black’. It was later that Amal turned director with the Mammootty-starrer ‘Big B’.

Amal Neerad has denied reports that 'Sagar alias Jackie' would be the sequel to the K.Madhu-directed ‘Irupatham Noottandu’ (1987). The makers issued a statement which says, "‘Sagar alias Jackie’ has nothing to do with ‘Irupatham Noottandu’. Our film will have a totally different storyline."

S.N.Swamy, who had scripted ‘Irupatham Noottandu’, will pen the script for ‘Sagar alias Jackie’. Meena has also been roped in to play one of the lead roles.
